February 2007 : Sheffield Young Accountant Of The Year – Helen O’Brien UHY Wingfield Slater
Young accountants and their guests were in attendance at the Annual Dinner of the Sheffield & District Chartered Accountants Students’ Society (S&DCASS) held at Baldwins Omega, Sheffield, last Friday (16 February), which culminated in the Sheffield Young Accountant of the Year Awards, sponsored by Hays Accountancy & Finance.
Sheffield Young Chartered Accountant of the Year 2006 was awarded to Helen O’Brien from UHY Wingfield Slater
Runners up were Gemma Howard, goodband viner taylor and Keiron Coulter, Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Helen won a weekend break for two in Paris, and the runners-up received Virgin Experience vouchers.

The competition celebrates the achievements of young chartered accountants who are judged on professionalism, both in and out of the office, work competence (including exam records) and overall personality (including outside work activities). The judging process is a rigorous and demanding exercise and congratulations are to be extended to all the entrants and in particular the finalists.
